Virgin Care

Virgin Care Ltd - Hastings & Rother Musculoskeletal Service overview

The community musculoskeletal service offers consultation, advice and treatment to quickly assess problems patients may have with joints, soft tissue or muscles, which may require hospital treatment but can often be managed with immediate treatment in the service. The service aims to provide patients with a diagnosis and treatment plan to enable them to best manage their specific needs.

How a patient gets an appointment

If a patient’s GP thinks they need to see a specialist for treatment, they will tell the patient about all of the local services they can choose from. If the patient decides to use our service their GP will send us a referral.

When we receive the referral, a member of the administrative team will call the patient to offer an appointment that is convenient to them.

We run clinics two days a week from Rye Memorial Hospital (currently Tuesdays and Fridays)

Number of Patients Seen

As of the end of April 2013, the service has seen over 3000 patients, with 76% of patients scoring the service as a 9 or 10 out of 10.
